报告摘要:
This report demonstrates the interplay of computational studies and experimental investigations in understanding, characterizing, and rationalizing the reaction mechanisms of pincer complex-catalyzed hydrogenation, dehydrogenation, and transfer hydrogenation reactions. Of particular interest is the realization and confirmation of computationally proposed results by designed experimental work and how computational studies can advance experimental studies.
报告人简介:
Prof. Jiao is currently a professor at Leibniz Institute for Catalysis in Germany. He got his Ph.D. in 1995 from the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg in Germany supervised by Prof. Paul von Ragué Schleyer. From 1995 to 2002, he was a postdoc at Erlangen in Germany and Rennes in France. From 2002-2006, he did his Habilitation in physical organic chemistry at the University of Rostock. Since 2006, he was the leader of the Theory of Catalysis group at Leibniz-Institut für Katalyse, Germany. He is an expert in computational chemistry for both homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis. He is especially interested in the hydrogenative conversion of CO2 into chemicals, such as methane and methanol, lower alcohols and hydrocarbons, and syngas using both homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts. He has published more than 450 scientific papers including Nature, Nat. Catal., Nat. Commun., J. Am. Chem. Soc. and Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.
